Subscribe to Unchained Entrepreneur – Business Advice

I don’t know about you, but I’ve found that exploring a new blog can range from exciting, to exhausting. Often, you’ll be uncertain as to how reading and subscribing will add value and how to connect (if at all) with the blog’s author. This section is designed as a quick “Welcome Guide” to assist you in acclimating and getting the most advantage from the Unchained Entrepreneur.

My “Philosophy” on Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is a craft – by which I mean it is a rare combination of art, inspiration and methodology. While there are certain foundational elements of entrepreneurship (for example innovation and product creation), I hold to the belief that many of the skills and processes required to build a company can be taught and replicated.

Thus, if you spend time here at the Unchained Entrepreneur, you will be in an environment devoted to identifying and communicating key methods and mechanisms for succeeding as an entrepreneur. I mine my 15 years experience as an entrepreneur, financier and adviser for the lessons of successes (and failures!) that I have learned. Furthermore, I myself continue to explore and learn in the field – and I pass along this education, along with various resources, here on this blog.

Start With These

You’re welcome (and indeed encouraged) to explore the Unchained Entrepreneur entirely on you own. I began this venture in late 2009 – so there are less than 50 posts in total on the site. You can certainly read through them all in a methodical fashion if you wish. If, however, you ‘d like to get a feel for what the site is about, you may want to take a look at the following “high value” posts:

How to Set Goals for Maximum Success

The New Rules of Angel Investing

FREE Resources for Entrepreneurs

How to Get Venture Capital Funding

What to Do When Your Business Is Running Out of Money

An Entrepreneurial Quick Start Guide

I write a newsletter that is sent out via email. I produce this on a somewhat erratic basis – though it’s approximately monthly. This includes a brief summary of recent posts and, more importantly, tips and resources that are not part of the main Unchained Entrepreneur site.

I’ve been using an Aweber autoresponder, but that’s about to change. Frankly, I don’t see the value in paying for such a service – particularly given that I don’t (at present) use this blog as a platform for monetization in any way (no advertisements, sponsorships or affiliate sales are currently in place). Shortly I’ll be shifting the subscription process to Google and sending out emails directly.

Connecting With Me

Finally, if you’re looking to connect with me, you can find me online fairly easily.

You can follow me on Twitter (@sethaelliott).

You can connect with me on LinkedIn (don’t hesitate to send me an invitation).

You can Like the Unchained Entrepreneur on Facebook.

I’m also personally on Facebook, but it’s best to wait on sending me a Friend request there until we’ve already connected elsewhere.

That completes your introductory welcome package. I hope that you found this helpful. More importantly I hope that you’ll stick around and become an active member of the Unchained Entrepreneur community.
